Marco Grassi and Ryan Smith will guide this tour.

11-21 April 2024
Join an unforgettable adventure in one of the most photogenic places in the world. During this Patagonia Workshop we will have plenty of opportunities to photograph majestic mountains, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, trees, autumn colors, glaciers and much more. We will visit both Los Glaciares National Park (Argentina) and Torres del Paine National Park (Chile).
PATAGONIA WORKSHOP ITINERARY
DAY 1
Our Patagonia workshop begins! We will pick everyone up at El Calafate Airport or hotel nearby, then drive towards Torres Del Paine National Park. We will spend our first sunset shooting by the shore of the turquoise Lake Pehoe, then check in in our hotel and get some rest after the long day.
DAY 2 & 3
On day 2 and 3 we will explore the park and shoot the majestic Los Cuernos mountains from different angles. These two full days will allow us to visit more locations and come back to some of the same ones for better conditions.
If we are lucky, a guanaco or two will walk right in our frame!

DAY 4
After our sunrise shooting, we’re ready to start the long drive to El Chalten. For sunset, we will stop by the road and shoot the first glimpse of Mt. Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre in the distance, then make our way towards the hotel.
DAY 5
After a sunrise shooting and a delicious breakfast, the hiking part of this tour begins! We’ll drop off our luggages in a safe storage and start hiking in the early afternoon.
An easy hike (4km approx, 1.30h, uphill + flat) will lead us to our camping spot. We will set up our tents and get ready with our cameras. After sunset we will go back to the campsite for dinner and some rest.

DAY 6
Ready to leave early in the morning to reach our sunrise location, again very close to our campsite. Then it’s time to pack our tents and continue towards the next campsite (4km approx 1h hike, flat). Here we will spend a total of two nights.
We’ll have plenty of time to scout around, then we’ll reach our sunset location and come back for dinner.
DAY 7
On the seventh day of our Patagonia workshop we will get up early and have a quick breakfast. We will then hike up to our sunrise location, an incredible lake right below Mount Fitz Roy. The hike is 2km uphill and takes approx 1.30h. In the afternoon we will scout some more and take pictures of some beautiful locations in the area.
After our sunset shooting it’s time to have dinner and recharge for the next day.
DAY 8
On day 8 we move to our next campsite, where we’ll spend two nights. This camp is located in a different valley and very close to “Laguna Torre”. Here we’ll have plenty of opportunities to photograph the incredible Cerro Torre. Hiking time is approx 3.30h (9km), mostly flat.
After lunch, we scout around before reaching our sunset location.

DAY 9
Sunrise will be very close to our campsite, there are different compositions to choose from. These include river, trees and a beautiful lake with Cerro Torre in the background.
In the afternoon everyone is free to explore on his own or join the group for some more scouting. Sunset will be in the same area.
DAY 10 & 11
On day 10th we hike back to El Chalten (9km approx 3h, mostly flat) after sunrise. After a good lunch in town, we will check in in our hotel, enjoy a long shower and have one last dinner together!
The following day we will drive to El Calafate airport, where this Patagonia workshop ends.
